Fairy House Tour: The Citrus Bloom Hollow
After I built a few cat houses, someone introduced me to the world of Fairy Houses. This is my first try at making one. This is made of all-natural materials: sticks, bark, moss, lichen, flowers, wheat, dehydrated fruit.
Birch Step Wall
This is a bamboo wall, covered in flowers with birch bark steps. Top to bottom: orange peel with birch branch lamp, orange peel chair with birch branch legs and an amaranthus flower pillow next to a bamboo flower pot, dragon fruit peel couch with birch branch legs, orange peel arms, and a wheat pillow and finally, a fairy birch ladder and another orange peel chair and flower pot.
The Citrus Bloom Hollow
A shot from top to bottom. I used 6 screws (that I covered with lichen) to affix the bamboo supports to the next level. I used a thick cardboard covered in moss for the base. Before I mossed it, I carved the shapes of the bottom of the walls to insert them into the cardboard for more support. It is not perfectly straight because fairies, but it is level because stability.
Pomelo Bedroom
The wall is made of bamboo with an amaranthus flower curtain. The floor and ceiling are birch bark, stabilized by bamboo, and accented with lichen. The ceiling is finished with soft white flowers. The rug is made of wheat. The bed is made of dehydrated pomelo skins and birch branches for legs and an amaranthus flower pillow. There are 2 orange peel in-tables - 1 with a bamboo flower pot on it. The room is complete with a thistle chandelier.
Birch Picnic Patio
The outdoor patio sits on moss with bamboo wall and supports. There is a long birch bark table and benches to match with birch branch legs for each. There is a birch bark framed floral piece of three-dimensional art on the bamboo wall. The ceiling is birch bark with a thistle chandelier above the picnic table.
Pomelo Porch Swing
This Pomelo peel swing hangs from birch branches, stabilized with bamboo. The swing has an amaranthus flower blanket inside.There is a wheat rug on top of a birch bark floor finished with lichen. There is also a thistle light above the swing.
